The qualification of trained hotel professionals in Germany is worldwide recognized. The aim of the vocational training is to give young people a wide range of professional skills and competencies to prove themselves on the job and succeed in the labour market.

The author, Peter Braune, played a significant role in the development of these training curriculums. The present ‘Education Guide’ is a translation of the German standard book. It was edited and expanded for the international use. Thus, there is the possibility for all aspiring hotel- and restaurant professionals from across the globe, who have a command of English, to start an apprenticeship according to the proven and successful German system.
